In Loving Memory of SaSa Han

SaSa is the soul dog of our family. For 12 years and 4396 days, every single second our whole family was devoted to him, and he returned to us a love and happiness we never knew existed until he came into our lives. During his 89 days of battling hemangiosarcoma, his spirit never wavered. Now that he has crossed the rainbow bridge, his presence will never leave us. There is nothing to move on from and nothing to let go of. He is not a chapter of our lives, he is forever a part of us. Have fun in heaven, SaSa, our baby boy, until we meet again.

In Loving Memory of Shadow

Sweet Shadow was adopted from the shelter as a senior Dane by wonderful rescue friends, Rachel and Logan Barr. She was aptly named Shadow because she never left Rachel's side.

She was diagnosed with cancer shortly after with cancer. And fought a good, hard fight. Until she could fight no more. Rescue is hard. Rescuing senior dogs, Danes specifically, is harder.

But thanks to Rachel and Logan, she lived her last year loved and adored.

In Loving Memory of Argos

Our sweet boy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2024, days after his 7th birthday. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy with a smile on his face, happy to be able to run again. He was doing so well until the cancer metastasized in his lungs and he developed HO. It only got worse and no treatment could stop it.

Argos, we know you’re running pain free again. We love you always.

In Loving Memory of Ella

Ella was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the pelvis at the young age of 7 on April 11, 2024 after nearly 2 months of being misdiagnosed. She underwent a hemipelvectomy, 6 rounds of chemotherapy, and was a participant for the EGFR/HER2 immunotherapy. Various CT scans were performed and 6 week XRAYS to attempt staying ahead of this cruel disease coming back. Unfortunately, she made it 6 months from the date of diagnosis as it returned back to the pelvis along with the vessels in her lungs and we lost our world on October 11, 2024 -- just a week after including her in our wedding. Not a day goes by where my heart doesn't break. Mom and Dad will spend a lifetime missing you and you truly were the best girl. We love you Ella (goose).

In Loving Memory of Annie

Annie,

You were our first girl, the smartest dog we ever knew and will ever have. Our lives have changed a lot since you left us 2.5 years ago; Hopper, Arlo, and Nori have a little human sister named Adalei. She never got to meet you, but she’ll grow up knowing how important you were in our life. We talk about you a lot and planted a tree in our front yard; we all call it “Annie’s Tree”.

Hopper misses his big sister, but him and Nori are best friends and I know you’re glad he has a young lady to keep him active and happy. You’d be so proud of Hopper, he loves the water just like you and even taught Nori how to swim! Nori is a lot like you (although a little more affectionate!) and loves to lay in the dirt in the backyard.

We miss you so dearly, but know you’re still in our hearts and will never truly be gone.

With the most love,

Mom and Dad

In Loving Memory of Chiquis Vargas

Chiquis Vargas

04.12.2009-11.08.2023

Our beloved Chiquis filled our hearts with so much love for the 14.5 years we shared together. Chiquis filled our life with so much joy and was the light and heart of our family. Chiquis was sweet, energetic, loving, and one of a kind. She faced so many challenges, but she always knew how to make us smile and touched the hearts of many. Chiquis was a fighter, she was brave and always kept fighting till the end. Chiquis was diagnosed with heart disease in 2018 and later diagnosed with nasal cancer in 2022. She spent countless hours back and forth at the vet but always lit up the room with her big beautiful bright eyes, and sassy personality. She knew how to grab the attention of the room and made everyone laugh even in the toughest of times. She will always be our light and joy; she will never be forgotten.

Dear Chiquis,

Today, we walk in your honor, wishing more than anything that you were right here by our side. We miss you dearly, the way you always made each of our days better. You always knew how to show us love and made our days brighter and full of life. You never failed to bring a smile to our faces, even when we didn't feel like smiling, your presence made us happy and full of joy. You made our family complete, and we miss you and the trouble you would cause around the house everyday. Even though we are approaching our second year without you, you will never be forgotten. We continue to talk about you each and every day. We love looking back and remembering all the memories we shared with you. You will always be one of a kind with your cute little quirks and bright beautiful personality. Thank you for filling our lives with the best memories, and for competing our family. We love you Chiquis, to the moon and back. Forever and always.

Even though you’re not here physically I know you are still with us and watching over us and send us signs and reminders you are not gone. Until we meet again my angel nala. In Loving Memory of Bueller

image.png

Bueller was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in November 2024 after a misdiagnosed limp. At just 8 years old, his journey has been heartbreaking, compounded by limited treatment options in Atlanta. Facing delays, his family sought care across multiple states—from radiosurgery in Florida to a vaccine in Virginia. They continue holistic treatments, pain management, and constant love to give him the best possible quality of life.

Beyond his diagnosis, Bueller has impacted many lives. As a therapy dog, he has helped communities and even participated in groundbreaking neuroscience research at Emory University. Rescued as a pup, he overcame severe mange to grow into a healthy, joyful companion, deeply bonded with his sister, Lucy. His family, founders of the Schultz Foundation, are dedicated to helping rescue dogs train as service animals. Through all of this, Bueller remains a true gentle giant, loved by everyone he meets.

In Loving Memory of Bella

This sweet girl is our little Tilly. Tilly came into our lives as a result of a spontaneous trip to a senior dog rescue shelter “just to look around”. From the very second Tilly walked into our lives and made herself right at home on our couch, we knew immediately she was the missing piece of our family’s puzzle. Originally (and very fittingly) named “Quartz” at the shelter, Tilly had a lovely, dazzling personality.

image.png

Everyone and anyone who got to meet her immediately gushed about her super sweet yet unapologetically spunky demeanor. She loved her treats and did a special tippy tap dance for them! She had soulful eyes that, when met with yours, would almost sparkle, followed by a gentle wag from a scruffy little tail that almost looked too big for her body (as was her personality). Tilly was also very silly! She loved digging holes, doing handstands, and breakdancing (which meant she liked to be spun around on her back on the floor). Tilly was diagnosed with mammary cancer in late 2021, and fought bravely until she crossed over the rainbow bridge. Despite her ailing body, Tilly, (Quartz) as her old namesake suggests, was strong and sturdy up until the very end. Our girl was beautiful and brave and we couldn’t have asked for a better fighter. She is loved and remembered by her parents, grandparents, and a host of family members and friends. She is in the company of her sisters, Cleo and Lulu. Until we meet again, our little Tippity-Tapper Tilly Terrier. Keep chasing rainbows. We miss you and love you. ❤️🌈🐾
