Finding Hope With Finny
A Community Study on Canine Cancer Screening
Cancer is the leading cause of death in dogs.
Yet most cancers are diagnosed only after symptoms appear- often when the disease is already advanced.
Different cancer screening tests are being marketed to veterinarians and dog families.

Finding Hope with Finny is an independent, community-powered study to understand the reliability of commercial canine cancer screening tests.
Independent evaluation is needed to understand:
-
How sensitive these tests are
-
How often do they produce false positives
-
How do results vary by cancer type, stage, and real-world conditions
But do they work?
Our first study will evaluate a widely available noninvasive commercial urine test kit. Your participation contributes to a future where more effective and affordable diagnostic tools are available, cancers are detected earlier, and dogs benefit from improved cancer outcomes.
Together, we honor Finny, a beloved dog lost to cancer.
